D.A.T.E. is named after its four founders: Damiano, Alessandro, Tommaso, and Emiliano. In 2005, dissatisfied with their jobs in London, they decided to create their own sneaker line. Working in Emiliano’s garage with salvaged machinery, they balanced day jobs while crafting their first collection. By January 2006, a friend’s help landed them a spot at Pitti Immagine Uomo, where their handmade sneakers captivated the audience and became the season’s standout.
